The flag of Lazio is a sky-blue field with the coat of arms of the region surrounded by laurel and olive branches and surmounted by a golden crown in the centre. The coat of arms features an octagon with four fields in the colours of the Italian flag and five fields with the coats of arms of the five provinces of the region in saltire. The flag also includes the words “Regione Lazio” in gold. The flag was adopted on September 17, 1984, with corrections on January 8, 1986, and is one of the official symbols of the region of Lazio, Italy.
