Flag of Los Ríos Region
The Flag of Los Ríos Region was officially adopted by the Regional Government on the 22nd of December 2008 and was officially launched on August 7, 2009.
Only five out of the sixteen regions of Chile that officially adopted regional flags, these regions include; Atacama, Conquimbo, Los Lagos, Los Ríos and Magallanes.
Designs & Symbolism
The Flag of Los Ríos Region consists of a white background, which have three wavy stripes, at the top a yellow stripe, in the middle a green stripe and at the bottom a blue stripe. There are twelve stars in a circle in the centre.
The stars in a circle represent the twelve communes in the region. The yellow represents the life force, the green refers to the local nature and the blue water of rivers and lakes.
