Flag of Antofagasta Region
Antofagasta is one of Chile’s Sixteen primary administrative divisions. Encompassing three provinces: Antofagasta, El Loa, and Tocopilla and the second-largest region in Chile.
Antofagasta has no official flag, but the flag normally used is blue with the region’s coat of arms in a yellow circle, with the region’s name around the outside.
The coat of arms is the national coat of arms of Chile, which was adopted in 1834. The coat of arms features a gold-bordered blue and red bicolour shield with a white star. On the left-hand side is a crowned huelmul and on the right-hand side is a crowned condor. Above are blue, white and red feathers and below is a banner stating “BY REASON OR FORCE”.
