List of countries in Asia

There are 50 Countries dividing the Asian Continent and 2 territories, the Continents borders are surrounded by the Arctic Ocean from the north, the Pacific Ocean from the East and the Indian Ocean from the South, the European borders with Asia are divided by the Mediterranean and Black Sea, the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sia, the Ural River and Ural Mountains. Asian Borders with Africa are divided by the Suez Canal.

The Smallest of these countries is the Maldives which is famous for its beach resorts and the largest country is Russia, which occupies 30% of the total continents land, followed by China and then India.

Asia and Europe have countries which have at least a small portion of their countries land to be on multiple continents, these countries are known as “Transcontinental”, Transcontinental countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russian and Turkey.

Armenia and Cyprus are politically considered part of the European countries however due to their geographical location they are West Asia territories.
